The new CCNP Certification requires 3 new Exams:

- ROUTE (642-902)

- SWITCH (642-813)

- TSHOOT (642-832)

If you’re working on your CCNP, you have until July 31st to finish using the old exams: BSCI, BSMSN, ONT and ISCW.

This new set of CCNP exams should make this Certification easier to obtain. It will also provide you with a solid foundation for the next step; that is, the Cisco CCIE R&S Certification.

There are two nice benefits about the latest exams: you’ll spend only $450 instead of $600 to get your CCNP (we’ll see how long that lasts), and you now get 120 minutes instead of just 90 to complete them.

Although a few topics have been added, this new set of exams keep the Core topics especially in the Routing section.

Therefore, the hardware needed for a Home CCNP Lab remains the same. So our current selection of CCNP Labs has not suffered any change, since none is really needed.
