CD2: includes dozens of Training Videos for several CCNA/CCNP related topics such as LAN Switching, VLANs, Trunking, SDM, WAN (Serial) Links, Frame Relay, Static Routing, Dynamic Routing Protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), MPLS, Router Security, etc.
CD's include dozens of White Papers and articles about some important day-to-day tasks, and about more advanced topics. R3 includes an NM-4A/S module. This Router is used for Frame Relay with Hub & Spoke exercises! R3 comes pre-configured to act as both, Frame Relay Switch and Frame Relay Hub Router!
This is a very unique feature that you won't find anywhere else! (3 Serial Cables are included, required for the Hub & Spoke function).
Routers R1, R2 & R3 (2620XM's) can be upgraded to 2650XM's. The Cisco 2650XM offers several advantages such as more processing power and the ability to run MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) commands!

This Lab comes with complete Setup Instructions, so you won't have to wonder what to do next. It includes a very unique feature: a Frame Relay Switch so that you can gain a TOTAL understanding of the Frame Relay technology!
Note: The CCNA Security Lab Manual book actually requires 3 x 1841 Routers and 2 x 2960 Switches. But 1841 Routers are expensive. Therefore, they have been replaced with 2620XM's loaded with IOS 12.4T and SDM, which offer the same functionality and can be used without any problems for the Lab exercises given in this book.
The same can be said about the 2950 Switches, which offer very similar functions as the 2960, but for a much lower price! A few Lab exercises require 3 Switches. But with the use of VLAN's should be to simulate the third switch and thus reduce the total cost!
However, if you would rather prefer a third physical Switch, it can be also added to this Lab. You may also upgrade the 2950's (which come with Standard Image) to 2950C or 2950T (Enhanced Image).
