This 2620XM Router comes with 256 Mb. DRAM /48 Mb. Flash, configured with CME 4.1 (Cisco Call Manager) and SDM 2.5 (Security Device Manager) and loaded with the latest compatible IOS available for it (12.4.15.T14)
The 2620XM supports up to 36 IP Phones (24 SIP Phones and 36 SCCP Phones) and up to 144 Virtual Ports! Please check the following link for more info about its capabilities:
A Bonus CD is included with this Router! CD includes both Software elements (SDM 2.5 & CCM/CME 4.1) and other applications such as Cisco IP Communicator 8.6 and Cisco IP SoftPhone 1.3(4a), as well as many IP Phone Firmware.
Note: IOS 12.4.15.T is required to run CME 4.1. Main Line IOS version (12.4.25d Adv. Enterprise Services) can also be found in the CD, which also includes the following Software:
- Cisco IP Communicator 8.6
- Cisco IP SoftPhone 1.3(4a)
These are its main features:

Note: 32 Mb. Flash is not enough to hold IOS 12.4T. So you do need 48 Mb. in Flash to hold this IOS Image file and the CME & SDM apps.

For testing purposes we have uploaded a few IP Phone Firmware files: 7912G, 7940G & 7960G. But we also provide the Firmware files for most other Cisco IP Phones.
Here are the IP Phone models for which we provide Firmware: 7905, 7910, 7911, 7912, 7920 (Wireless), 7931, 7940, 7960, 7961, 7970, and 7975. If your phone is not included in this list, please let us know and we'll make sure we include it as well.
In addition to CME 4.1, this Router is also loaded with SDM 2.5 (Security Device Manager). Since this Router has 48 Mb. in Flash, it has enough room to install both Applications, both of which are included in an accompanying CD! You could not do it with less than 48 Mb. in Flash; 32 Mb. in Flash simply is be enough.
Finally, Cisco IP Communicator 8.6 and Cisco IP SoftPhone 1.3(4a) are also included! In short, this is the Cisco Software included in the CD:
- IOS Image Files (12.4.25d Main Line, 12.4.15.T14, etc.)
- CME 4.1 (requires IOS 12.4.15T or later)
- SDM 2.5 (works with any of the above IOS's)
- Cisco IP Communicator 8.6 (lastest version)
- Cisco IP SoftPhone 1.3(4a) - Phone Firmware Files (for any IP Phone that you need)
Notice that some of the most recent versions of CME for this platform are based on T strand IOS versions. But the CD includes the proper IOS Image for each CME version, as well as a few of the most recent IOS Images, such as 12.4.25d (Main Line IOS)
Note: We include a quick User's Guide, so that you can start using these Applications right away! However, in case you want to install these apps by yourself, we also also include documentation with additional configuration details, so that you can start from scratch!
