Note: This upgrade can only be processed when added to a new order of a Lab kit.
It can't be processed as a standalone order. It can't be added after a Lab kit has been shipped.
The 2950C Switch includes a couple of 100Base-FX (Fiber) Uplink Ports.
But its most important feature is that it runs an Enhanced Image instead of the Standard one.
An Enhanced Image offers several advantages over the Standard one, among them:
- Additional and Enhanced QoS commands and features
- 802.1w RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) support
- 802.1s MISTP (Multiple Instance Spanning Tree Protocol) support
Only models 2950C, 2950G and 2950T can run an Enhanced Image! The regular 2950 only supports the Standard Image. Although the Image file may be the same, it simply won't run in Enhanced mode in a regular 2950!
