Routers R1 & R2 in the CCNA Lab Topology come with a single Serial Port.
But some Lab exercises require a second Serial Port on these Routers.
By adding this upgrade option to your Lab, your Routers (R1 & R2) will have a second Serial Port, which is implemented with a WIC-T1 card (WIC-1DSU-T1)
This upgrade option includes the following additional parts:
- 2 x WIC-1DSU-T1 cards (for R1 & R2)
- 1 x T1 crossover Serial Cable (Serial connection between R1 & R2)
Note: Please note that WIC-T1 cards are different from WIC-1T cards.
WIC-T1 cards use an RJ-48 connectors, while WIC-1T cards use DB-60 connectors.
Therefore, if you add these cards to a kit with WIC-1T cards and/or NM-4A/S Modules, they will be incompatible with them
