This kit is similar to Lab CCNA-1721-1, but it includes 3 x 2950 Switches instead of just two.
This is a complete Cisco CCNA/CCENT Lab kit, fully configured and tested!
The main difference between this kit and other Basic kits is the fact that ALL Routers in this kit come with 128 Mb. RAM / 32 Mb. Flash. This allows us to load both, IOS 12.4 and SDM (Security Device Manager)
In addition to SDM the 1721 Routers in this kit come with IOS 12.4 Advanced Enterprise Services which is not available in other Basic kits! (normally is included only in more advanced kits)
This makes these Routers and this kit in general, a very advanced one!
This kit follows the Lab Topology and the equipment requirements of the CiscoPress® Lab Workbook CCNA Exploration 4.0. Therefore, with this Lab kit you'll have a clear path to follow!
The following are the five Main Components:
- R1: 2620XM Router 128D/32F + 2 Serial Ports + 1 Fast Ethernet (Frame/Relay Switch)

Please notice that we offer several different upgrade options. For instance:
- 2950's can be upgraded to the Enhanced Image version: 2950C-24 or 2950T-24 - 1721's can be upgraded to 2600XM (2610XM/2620XM/2650XM).
You can also add one more Serial Port to R1 and R2 (some of the Lab Exercises do require a second Serial Port). Serial Ports are implemented w/ WIC-T1 cards (WIC-1DSU-T1: 1.544 Mbps T1)
Other available upgrade options include:
- USB to Serial DB9 Adapter Cable, needed for Computers with USB Ports only (no DB9 Ports)
- Mounting Brackets for Rack Mounting can be added.
- 2509 Terminal Server can be added, which allows access to all devices from a single location.
