This CCNA Voice Lab is a fully configured Lab, ready to use from the first minute!
Once the proper connections are made, you'll be able to make Phone calls right away!

This Lab kit is based on a Voice-enabled Cisco 2911 ISR G2 Router w/ Cisco Unified CME 12.0 (Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express) & with CCP 3.1 (Cisco Conf. Professional)

Memory size is: 512 Mb. RAM / 512 Mb. Flash. IOS version is 15.7.3.M4b Universal K9

NOTE: The 2911 Router requires a special License (SL-29-UC-K9) to support CME 12.0.
This License is already included and installed in the Router!

This Voice Lab is different than all of our other Voice kits because it comes with an ISR G2 Router (Cisco 2911) instead of an ISR G1 (28XX)

While the 28XX Router only support IOS 15.1 and CME 8.6, the Cisco 2911 supports the most current IOS version 15.7 and CME 12.0

CME 12.0 provides support for the most current IP Phones such as the 78XX, 88XX and 99XX
(these IP Phones are not supported under CME 8.6)

This kit is similar to kit Voice-2911-2, but it includes a VIC3-2FXS Card which provides the ability to connect Analog Devices such as Fax Machines

This is the complete list of main components:

- 1 x 2911 Router 512D/256F loaded with UC License and Call Manager Express (CME 12.0)
- Router includes a VIC2-4FXO + VIC3-2FXS Cards and a PVDM3-16 Module (DSP processor)
- 1 x 3560v2-PS Switch with PoE with 24 Fast Ethernet Ports and IOS 15.0
- 2 x 7942 Phones
- Cisco IP Communicator 8.6 (Software-based Phone)

The 2911 Router supports up to 50 IP Phones (SCCP or Phones) and up to 300 Virtual Ports!

For more details about the Max. # of Phones supported, please check out the following URL:

Cisco 2911 Router: Max. Number of Phone Supported and Memory Specifications

The new CCNA Collaboration requires working knowledge of Call Manager Express (CME),
which is Router-based, and Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), which only runs on Servers.

This kit is the perfect tool for the CME section of the CCNA Collaboration Exam 210-060-CICD (Implementing Cisco Collaboration Devices)

For the CUCM section you'll need a CUCM Server, which is offered as a separate item.
For more information about them, please go to the CUCM Servers Menu.

Cables and other Accessories:

- 1 x Console Cable
- 3 x CAT5 Straight Through Ethernet Cable
- 2 Power Cables (not included with international orders)
- Accompanying Disk with Training Materials (please see below)

Upgrades Section:

Several different upgrade options are available for this kit. For instance:

- Additional IP Phones may be added
- PVDM3 Module may be added to support Voice Cards
- Small Steel Rack to mount all the equipment.
- Mounting Brackets to attach the equipment to a Rack.
- Fully configured Server with CUCM (Cisco Unified Call Manager)

Lab Setup:

All devices are shipped fully configured and ready to be used right away! But of course some physical assembly is required. This is explained in our Proprietary Lab Guide/Manual

This document also explains all the configuration steps. Therefore, you'll be able to re-create the configuration by yourself in case this is needed.

All IP Phones are connected to the CME Router through a LAN Switch. A 3560v2-PS PoE Switch (Power over Ethernet) is included, so no External Power Supply is needed for the IP Phones.

One port of the Switch would be connected to the Router's Ethernet interface, while the other ports would be used for the IP Phones.

No other Hardware is required to make calls between the Phones connected to the LAN!

The FXO Card and the PVDM3 Module are only needed to make calls outside the LAN.

Note: An active Phone Line is needed to make/receive External Phone Calls. A regular Phone Cable, with RJ-11 connectors is needed to connect the FXO card to the External Phone Line.

As mentioned above, an Analog Phone can be connected to the Router through the VIC3-2FXS card
This simplifies the operation of this system, because you would not need to connect a Switch and IP Phones. You can make/receive Phone Calls simply using this Analog Phone!
